Northern California Anesthesia Associates actively negotiates managed care contracts with major insurance payors. We are committed to working with the health plans and medical groups for the patients we serve.

• NCAA is a full participant in the Blue Cross provider network.
  
• NCAA physicians are providers for the Hill Physicians Medical Group network.
  
• NCAA is contracted with Palo Alto Medical Foundation to cover their patients, including their Fremont branch.
  
• NCAA physicians are participating Medicare providers.
  
• NCAA is in discussion with Blue Shield and plan to execute an agreement soon.

As a patient, you should be aware that having the services of an anesthesiologist during surgery means that you will receive a separate bill from this physician, in addition to separate bills from the surgeon and the hospital for services that they provide. You should check with your health insurance carrier to understand the specific coverage that you have.

The physicians of NCAA are committed to fair pricing and access for all patients. For patients with significant financial hardship, our billing service, SureMed, will review each case and allow for appropriate adjustments if needed.
